How Gratitude Has Changed My Life

My experience consciously cultivating gratitude has been transformational.  For me, gratitude goes beyond the momentary feelings of happiness about the parts of my life that are currently going well.   Gratitude has given me an expansive lens that allows me to perceive the gifts in every situation and realize that life is happening for me, not to me.  It is a felt sense connection with the Divine in my life.

Through gratitude, challenging situations have become learning opportunities.   Living with a grateful heart, there is more wonder and curiosity and less fear and manipulation.   Becoming more grateful does not ignore the pain or sorrows of life, it simply enables us to notice all the beauty, joy and goodness that is typically hidden or overlooked.

Being thankful adds so much more meaning and depth to life.    It brings the gifts of living more fully in the present moment and not taking things for granted.

Gratitude has strengthened my relationships with friends and loved ones because I realize I wouldn’t be where I am today without their love and support.

Gratitude is the doorway to abundance.   As we focus on all that we are grateful for, we begin to feel more abundant, and when we begin to feel more abundant, we attract more into our lives. Gratitude starts a positive momentum in your life that changes everything.

The power of gratitude is the being state of gratitude.  We are all energetic beings and the vibration of gratitude is one of the highest and purest vibrations available to us.

I was recently out with a group of women and we were celebrating our friend’s birthday.  The collective outpouring of appreciation we felt for her friendship was palpable.  This shared energy of authentic gratefulness in our hearts is a perfect example of how this experience has the power to transform, heal and re-energize you.

There’s no shortage of science on the many holistic benefits of cultivating gratitude.  But whether you desire a boost to your physical, emotional or spiritual health, one thing I know for sure is that gratitude is the gateway to living life more fully alive.

Happy Thanksgiving!
